Terre del Mincio - Forte Ardietti

The circuit leads, between a ride and the other, to discover the landscape of the moraine hills and the important relationship with the water of this territory. The departure from the center of Ponti sul Mincio includes a visit to the Scaliger Castle, built with the pebbles of the Mincio. Continuing you can visit the Lavatoi where the resurgent water was used, until recent times, for the laundry. Coming out of the center of the village, surrounded by the landscape, we arrive at Forte Ardietti of Austrian construction. A meandering road later leads to the Mincio. The river, with the imposing structures of the dam and the regulator of the Virgilio canal, concludes this route among hills, fortifications and water.
